ASAPcheck does not make hiring recommendations or decisions. If you have any questions about the hiring decision or wish to provide context for information in your report, you must contact the hiring company directly.

To dispute the results of a consumer report prepared by ASAPcheck, please email the Consumer Dispute Team. You will need to provide your first name, last name, last 4 digits of your SSN, email address, phone number, and company you applied to. Please describe the details of your dispute.

To assist us in processing your request, please include the following in your correspondence:

#1: The preferred method of communication for ASAPcheck to contact you about your request (email address, physical address, or phone number).

#2: Proof of Identity (a copy of any of the listed documents below):

  • Driver’s license

  • Government-issued ID

  • Passport

  • Social Security card

  • Birth certificate

  • Utility bill displaying your name and address

We understand that you may not be able to provide documentation regarding proof of identity. If so, please contact us at 562.624.2720, press 3, and a specialist may be able to verbally verify your identity.

Please note: If a designated representative is submitting information on your behalf, they will also need to submit their proof of identity and include documentation authorizing them to act on your behalf (such as a valid power of attorney).

#3: Provide the specific adverse item(s) in your report you are seeking to block.

#4: Victim determination documentation to establish that you were a victim of human trafficking. Such as:

  • A self-attestation signed/certified by a Federal, State, or Tribal government entity; or non-government organization; or human trafficking task force (including victim service providers affiliated with the organization or task force ) authorized by a governmental entity to make such a determination

  • Certification letter issued by the Department of Health and Human Services

  • Police report

  • Court decision related to human trafficking

  • U Visa with form I-918 supplemental B indicating the victim experienced human trafficking
